A town on the northeast shore of the island, full of longshoremen and hemp farmers who live on bread and beangruel. Families typically have a fishing net somewhere that they check before work.
There is a seasonal seal hunt. Mermen and sirens make this more risky. Donkeys are kept for transport, and sometimes they are eaten in winter. Delicacies are shellfish and cheeses but nobody eats these every day.
The town is all business, all workshops and warehouses. Locals go to Port Cerise or Wuvi for fun, or go dance at the beach which is too cold to swim in.
Stackton has voulge-wielding guards whose chief purpose is repelling pirates and other foreign thugs. There is a small jail for locking up minor offenders. The castle out on the middle of the island is the courthouse.
